This is the best single-player that I came across for $9.99.. Crazy Taxi but with crazy cops and crazy combat. Really fun arcade goodness packed with VHS aesthethic and surprisingly large and detailed levels. Soundtrack is pretty sweet too.. Just like what it says: Getin, get out, get paid.. Update: Devs seem to have ditched the game where game breaking bugs are present in 70% of their guns. Until they fix this I can't leave a thumbs up. The driving and shooting is amazing. So far encountered very little bugs.. After having played Pako - Car Chase Simulator, I knew I had to give Pako 2 a try. With a slightly different concept to the game, it feels much like it's original, while still being unique enough to be it's own game. The controls have been changed, from having a non-stop moving car to having a car that you can control yourself. The weapons have also changed, whereas before you had to pick up ammo off the ground and only shoot it in 1 direction, you are given a gunman who will continuously shoot in the direction of your choosing, either with the mouse or right thumbstick, both of which feel good. The basics of the game has also changed. In Pako, you simply had to survive for as long as possible while avoiding pretty much everything in the environment, as 1 hit meant you were done. In Pako 2, you get more freedom when it comes to your vehicle blowing up, and can take a few hits before you lose. The premise is also different, as now you must help robbers escape while having cops run after you. I really enjoyed that they added a reason for running away, instead of simply "survive", it's become more of a "help these people out WHILE you survive". It adds a bit of random-ism as well. In Pako, you could simply keep doing a loop around the map until you lost, skipping entire sections of map even. In Pako 2, it forces you to explore everywhere and try out new routes in order to escape the cops.Overall really fun game, even if it is still in Early Access. The devs are super active on Twitter and they're constantly posting new teasers and screenshots as well as answering questions thrown at them. Definitely worth the buy for those that are looking for a cheap fun game to play!If you would like to see some gameplay, as well as my first look/thoughts on the game, you can check out my video over on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/XUOwdP0OvNQ. PAKO 2 is crazy taxi criminal edition, and that is a very good thing! (Video Version of Review) https:\/\/youtu.be\/PMddawSe0f4 The core gameplay revolves around picking up crews from jobs they just pulled, and getting them to their drop-off location, all while avoiding the ever growing police threat that manifests itself in increasingly more dangerous ways. The game may sound simple, but it's all the extra trappings that push this one well ahead of it's competition. An entire lot of cars to buy with in game cash, tons of weapons to purchase that give this title it's twin stick elements, mods that can be installed, a perk system that can be customized and earned through each successful drop-off, stat boosting for each vehicle, multiple levels! The list goes on and on for ways that you can customize your own experience and style in this game. Even the graphic options shine here, with the ability to make the game look like a 70's VHS cop show, or if you prefer, clean up the visuals with a more "modern" look. Tree Men Games have written a love letters to the fans with this title, and I would be more than happy to stand up and start the slow clap that this game deserves.. Love the moment when you are low on health, lots of cops right behind you and you are going for the exit to escape with all your cash. Then you see a crew that need a getaway driver, and you think:Just one more, it can't hurt.
